The Hormones and Cancer Research Unit is part of the McGill Faculty of
Medicine and the McGill University Health Center (MUHC). The research group
includes several laboratories led by Professors from the Department of
Medicine at McGill University. Our members are also affiliated with various
basic and clinical groups or Departments (McGill Cancer center, Divisions of
Endocrinology, Hematology and Nephrology, Departments of Pharmacology and
Surgery). The research facilities are located at the Royal Victoria Hospital
in Montreal, Canada.
Research emanating from this group is aimed at understanding the mechanisms of hormone/growth factor-receptor interactions, internalization and signal transduction leading to regulation of cell growth, differentiation, cell trafficking, apoptosis, tumor suppression and tumor metastasis with a particular emphasis towards Cancer research and drug development.
