The certification of documents is an available service to current McGill graduate students. This service assists students in meeting certain McGill requirements and meeting the requirements of external organizations (i.e. funding/fellowships applications).
For Commissioner for Oaths services, please consult the Legal Information Clinic in the Students’ Society of McGill University (SMMU) building, 3480 McTavish Street, room 107. This free service is available during clinic hours.
Service Point (3415 McTavish Street) also offers a Commissioner for Oaths service students wishing to prove Quebec Residency for tuition purposes. Sworn statements may be required for certain cases. Students may sign their sworn statements in the presence of one of the Commissioners for Oaths available at Service Point during our in-person business hours.
Please remember that all documents submitted to McGill University in support of an application to be admitted, including, but not limited to, transcripts, diplomas, letters of reference and test scores, become the property of McGill University and will not be returned to the applicant or forwarded to another institution under any circumstance.
