As a graduate student you are automatically a member of the Post Graduate Students’ Society who will provide you with numerous services (including health and dental insurance), student support and networking opportunities.
Other helpful resources
The certification of documents is an available service to current McGill graduate students. This service assists students in meeting certain McGill requirements and meeting the requirements of external organizations (i.e. funding/fellowships applications).
This service is provided at Service Point and includes the certification of certain documents:
- In support of legal document requirements
- In support of funding applications (i.e. SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR, FQRNT/SC, FRSQ, etc.)
- In support of other university or para-university requirements

For all other Commissioner for Oaths services, please consult the Legal Information Clinic, Students’ Society of McGill University building, 3600 McTavish St. - Rooms B-20 and B-21.
Please remember that all documents submitted to McGill University in support of an application to be admitted, including, but not limited to, transcripts, diplomas, letters of reference and test scores, become the property of McGill University and will not be returned to the applicant or forwarded to another institution under any circumstance.
