FAD is an online database used by academic units to submit information on fellowships applicants (both recommended and non-recommended) to GPS's Fellowships Unit. This information includes, but is not limited to, student information, GPAs, unit, level of study, granting agency committee number (aka discipline code), and the outcome of the file review (recommended or not recommended).
FAD is to be used by McGill departmental contacts for the NSERC, SSHRC, and CIHR competitions, the NAGS/ CAGS-UMI/ ADESAQ/ CGS, and the Vanier Doctoral Awards. Please note that CIHR Doctoral Applications are sent directly to the granting agency and do not come through the Fellowships Unit.
For detailed instructions on how to use FAD, please refer to the GPS Fellowships Awards Database (FAD) User Manual.
