ZVITAMBO Cluster Randomised Trial Project

Description: 
The study will be a cluster-randomized 2X2 factorial design, community-based trial testing the independent and combined effects of two interventions (a sanitation/hygiene intervention and a nutrition intervention) on infant growth and health. The sanitation/hygiene intervention will include household toilet construction and hygiene messages delivered by village health workers to households and through social marketing to communities. The nutrition intervention will include a nutrient supplement for infants between 6-12 months and nutrition messages delivered by village health workers to families of infants.
