Research Interests: 
Dr. Pilote’s interests include cardiovascular epidemiology, outcomes research, and health services research. Her current projects are the CIHR funded GENESIS intercapacity enhancement team on gender and sex determinants of cardiovascular diseases, access to congestive heart failure clinics, and pharmacoepidemiology. She is also actively involved in smoking cessation research in cardiovascular patients as a collaborator in the ZESCA trial and a member of the ZESCA Steering Committee.
Biography: 

Dr. Louise Pilote is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine for the McGill University Health Centre. She holds a William Dawson Chair at McGill University and a research scholarship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She is a practicing Internist and Epidemiologist at the Montreal General Hospital. Dr. Pilote received her MDCM from McGill University and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. She then obtained an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of California at Berkeley. She was a research fellow in Clinical Epidemiology in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at Stanford University and a postdoctoral fellow of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at the Cleveland Clinic.
