Biography: 

Dr. Asangla Ao received her PhD in Genetics and Biometry from UCL, London, UK and completed her postdoctoral training in the USA. As a senior research scientist at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School in Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK, she pioneered work in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD).

Dr. Ao has published over 100 research articles, book chapters and abstracts and has presented over 50 invited lectures both nationally and internationally. She serves as an associate editor for the journal, Molecular Human Reproduction, and as a member of the editorial board of The Open Reproductive Science Journal.
