Andrée Lévesque is a specialist in social and economic history, and, more specifically, in the history of Quebec’s labour movement and working class, and in the history of women. In 2010, she published a biography of the journalist-poet-librarian Éva Circé-Côté (1871-1949) who wrote for a number of progressive newspapers under various pseudonyms (Colombine, Musette, Paul. S.Bédard, Arthur Maheu and Julien Saint-Michel, among others). Andrée is currently working on an edition of Circé-Côté's newspaper columns, and is also pursuing her research in women's work from 1890 to 1940.
