Gender and Human Security Issues (GHSI) Program

Welcome

From 2000-2004, the Gender and Human Security Issues (GHSI) Program took place at McGill's Centre for Developing-Area Studies (CDAS) under the directorship of Dr. Rosalind Boyd, who was also the Principal Investigator. In partnership with the Women's Centre of Montreal and other units, this action-research program developed various innovative tools for dealing with the particular needs of women who have lived in war-torn countries and experienced military conflict. The GHSI program was funded by the Community-University Research Alliances (CURA) Program of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). This site now guides interested researchers to know more about the results of this program, though it is no longer active at CDAS.
