The First Peoples’ House is proud to announce that Mr. Kakwiranó:ron Cook is our new Community Outreach Coordinator/ Career Advisor. The Community Outreach Coordinator/ Career Advisor works collaboratively with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities across Canada on- and off- reserve in an effort to connect with youth, prospective university students and their families to promote higher education and McGill University. This outreach extends to high schools, school boards, Band education centres and career fairs.

The Coordinator is available to discuss a range of issues from program selection, admission requirements, career options, and Montreal life, ensuring you make a seamless transition to the university community.

Kakwiranó:ron Cook is an enrolled member of both the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne (New York/Ontario/Quebec) and Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation at Pine Ridge (South Dakota). He is a graduate of Hawai’i Pacific University and has professional experience promoting educational initiatives in his home communities and abroad.
