Courses and Programs French as a Second Language (FRSL)

FRSL courses develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills and strategies, as well as critical thinking and cultural awareness. All courses are credited and summer courses are available.

Admission and registration

A Placement test is required before admission to any course including Beginners' French. Please refer to the Placement tests information page. No auditors are accepted.

Departmental permission is absolutely required. As numbers are limited in all courses, students who meet the required standard for any given course are admitted on a first come, first served basis. All students are required to attend class without fail during the first two weeks in order to retain their places.

The 2012-2013 Minerva class schedule contains the most up-to-date information for students preparing to register.
