All newly admitted undergraduate students beginning their studies in the Winter Term are encouraged to attend the different January Orientation events. Please stay tuned for January Orientation 2018 dates!
Plan to attend:
- Discover McGill Services Fair (Monday, January 8, 2018): This is when you can interact with representatives of the many and varied services that exist at McGill. Don't miss out on this opportunity to discover how you are supported both academically and personally throughout you studies. You will also receive your Discover McGill orientation package containing useful resource documents that you will want to keep on hand throughout your time at McGill.
The schedule of events could also include such offerings:
- Student Panel: What I Wish I'd Known Starting University: We’ve rounded up a panel of experts (aka current students - the very people who have been there and done it before) to share their experiences and advice on how they navigated their first year of university. The panel will cover academics, off-campus living, and everything in between. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear these words of wisdom and pick up some insider tips.
Academic Expectations Workshops: Set yourself up for success as you start your time at McGill. In these workshops you will learn valuable information regarding managing your academic life and getting a strong start to university.
Winter Wonderland: Join us for a full-filled Winter Wonderland evening to cap off your orientation day! There will be free food, games, crafts, a movie and much more. Get a chance a to chill, have fun, and meet other new students.
A finalized schedule will be posted Fall 2017.
International Students: Make sure you also register for International Student Services’ International Student Orientation events.
