Winter Orientation

Undergraduate students beginning their studies in the Winter Term are encouraged to attend a January Orientation event.

The schedules for Downtown Campus and Macdonald Campus are as follows:

Downtown Campus

  • Plan to attend your Discover McGill University Orientation session (Monday, January 3, 2017 : time - TBA,  Shatner University Centre, 3480 McTavish Street) . This is when you will learn important university and student life information, meet other new students, as well as when you will receive your Discover McGill orientation package containing useful resource documents that you will want to keep on hand throughout your time at McGill.
  • What I Wish I Knew Starting University” Panel (Monday, January 3, 2017 - time - TBA) - We’ve rounded up a panel of experts (aka. current students - the very people who have been there and done it before) to share their experiences and advice on how they navigated their first-year of university. The panel will cover academics, off-campus living, and everything in between. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hear these words of wisdom and pick-up some insider tips. 

Social Event

  • Undergraduate: “Night at the Forum!” - check back for updated date! – A social event just for January Admits. Come join your fellow new McGillians for a relaxing evening of fun, food, and games

Note: Macdonald Campus students are welcome to attend the above-referenced events if you will be on the downtown campus.  However, please note that you should plan to attend McGill University's Macdonald Campus Orientation on Tuesday, January 12th as noted below.

Macdonald Campus

  • Check back for updated date! - Don’t forget to attend your McGill University, Macdonald Campus Orientation evening session from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Come get important information you will need as a McGill student, meet other new students and get your Discover McGill package containing useful resource documents. Registration is required through their website.
