Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU)
As a registered undergraduate student on the downtown campus, you automatically become a member of the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU). SSMU is responsible for several student life activities such as Frosh, mini courses, concerts and a variety of other events, not to mention all the clubs that they run! The list includes 200 clubs and organizations, such as Big Buddies, the Rotary Club, and Earthsave, just to name a few. There's something for everyone!
Macdonald Campus Students' Society (MCSS)
If you are an undergraduate student on the Macdonald Campus, you are a member of the Macdonald Campus Students' Society (MCSS). They run many events and outings throughout the year, as well as 25 clubs.
Post-Graduate Students' Society (PGSS)
If you are a graduate student, you are a member of the Post-Graduate Students' Society (PGSS). This organization is housed in Thomson House and is a valuable resource for graduate students. Be sure to drop by and find out about the many services available to you.
Faculty Undergraduate Societies
Each Faculty on campus has a student society that represents the students of that particular Faculty. In addition to the Faculty Frosh at the end of August, each society also organizes many activities throughout the year. Check your Faculty Society website (listed below) for information on the organization and its upcoming events.
