LOCATION

Gatineau is a town of 100,000 people, located in western Quebec near Hull, across the river from Ottawa.  The Hopital de Gatineau, Hopital de Hull, Hopital Pierre-Janet and the Family Medicine Unit are part of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais.

CLINICAL EXPOSURE AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES

 

Rotation primarily done in the Family Medicine Unit (UMF)

 

Trainees can be exposed to:

• ER
• Home care/visits
• Minor Procedures
• Pre Natal and Post Natal Care
• Obstetrics
• On-Call
• Teaching Activities
• Ward and Patient Services
• Other clinical exposures: Pediatrics, clinical reasoning and teaching in public health
