Global Health Course

The McGill Interprofessional Global Health Course is a student-lead initiative that started in 2007. It was motivated by a desire to improve and expand global health content in the health professional students' curriculum. A partnership gradually evolved between students from all fields within the Faculty of Medicine, including medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dentistry and speech and language pathology. Membership and faculty support are offered by the Department of Family Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry and the School of Nursing.

The course is presented as a not-for-credit, optional, evening lecture series which includes small group exercises and case scenarios based around problem-based learning. It occurs annually from January to March with varying topics.
