The Bibliographical Society of Canada

Since its inception in 1946, the Bibliographical Society of Canada has studied the production and dissemination of books, with the aim of advancing understanding of the links between the material forms of texts and their cultural impact. In 2012, the Society’s peer-reviewed, bilingual scholarly journal moved to the Department of English at McGill University. Having the journal at McGill builds upon existing strengths in the international field of the history of the book. The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of Canada/Cahiers de la Société bibliographique du Canada is the premiere forum for original research into Canadian publishing history and is open to book-history research on any place or period—not just Canada. The editor, Eli MacLaren, welcomes opportunities to expand the journal’s bilingual mandate. For more information please consult the Society’s website: www.bsc-sbc.ca.
