The department has openings for course instructors in 2012-13:

• ENGL 269 Introduction to Performance: 1 instructor
• ENGL 311 Poetics: 4 instructors
• ENGL 302 Restoration and 18th-century English Literature 1 (poetry): 1 instructor

Applications should include a cover letter, sample syllabus, and cv in a single pdf file.

Applicants must be ABD or have the PhD in hand.

The deadline for applications to the Honours Program this semester is Monday, April 30. Completed applications are to be submitted to the English General Office by closing time on that day.

The Department of English at McGill University invites applications for a part-time Faculty Lecturer to begin 1 August 2012 and end 30 April 2013. Applicants must have a PhD in hand or be nearing completion of the doctorate. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses in cultural studies and twentieth-century literature. The successful applicant may be asked to teach a course on a major figure in cinema or a major cultural theorist.
