Requesting changes to the examination schedule
Students should direct their requests to make changes or submit comments regarding the Tentative Exam Schedule to their student representative or the EUS Academic Representative. All requests and comments must be made in writing to the Student Affairs Office. The Student Affairs Office will consider changes to an examination date provided there is a full agreement with a class. The Student Affairs Office cannot make changes to the Tentative Exam Schedule on an individual basis; however, a student with a concern may direct it to the Student Affairs Office directly.
The exam scheduling process is very complex for a variety of reasons, so it may be difficult to accommodate instructors' travel plans during the examination period. In exceptional cases, approval may be given to schedule an exam within a specified time constraint. Instructors must submit a detailed memo to their Chair explaining why they will be absent during the examination period. Once the Chair has given approval, the request must then be forwarded to the Associate Dean (Academic) for final approval.
