Near the end of each semester, students are asked to participate in the course evaluation process. Each course is evaluated by having all students fill out a questionnaire during a class period sometime in the last few weeks of the course. The results of the evaluations are not released to professors until several weeks after courses have been completed and grades have been submitted.
Below you will find a most recent version of the course evaluation which has been used in the Faculty since 2000. Your comments about this evaluation are welcome. Please send your comments to lori [dot] hurdle [at] mcgill [dot] ca
Faculty of Engineering Course Evaluation
NOTE: Your evaluation is an important mechanism used by your instructor, department/school and faculty for making improvements to this course, as well as to the overall teaching program. The teaching evaluations form an important part of a professor's teaching portfolio, which is required by the University administration for tenure and promotion decisions. Your responsible, thoughtful, and constructive feedback are much appreciated. The results of the evaluation will be carefully reviewed by the chair/director of the department/school and will be forwarded to the instructor only after the final grades have been submitted.
