McGill Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Services

The Office of Sponsored Research Commercialization Group manages the intellectual property developed at McGill University. Among their responsibilities, the team protects intellectual property through the disclosure and patenting process, negotiates technology transfer (options, licenses) agreements with industry, and markets McGill inventions to potential licensees. MSBi-Valorisation

MSBi Valorisation is one of the four sociétés de valorisation des résultats de la recherche universitaire du Québec (SVUs). These SVUs have benefited from the financial support of the Quebec Government since 2001 and are each focused on technology transfer. MSBi Valorisation provides capital, manpower and business sense to monetize promising technologies developed within McGill University, Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop’s University and their affiliated research centres.
