Prospective Students

McGill Engineering has been ranked one of Canada’s top two Engineering Schools in the 2010 listing published by the QS World University Rankings. Last year we ranked third in Canada. Internationally, McGill Engineering placed 29th this year, coming ahead of such well-known U.S. schools as Columbia, Yale, Northwestern, Penn State and Texas A&M University. McGill Engineering is noted for the expertise of its professors, the talent of its students, the exceptional quality of its teaching and research and the contributions of its alumni. Our Faculty is also a leader ― within McGill and across Canada ― in encouraging interdisciplinary, inter-Faculty and inter-institutional approaches to problem solving.
UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES
- The Faculty of Engineering offers a General Undergraduate Engineering program as well as programs in Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Applied Mechanics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Mining and Materials Engineering, and in Architecture. - Engineering Tours conducted by McGill Engineering students are regularly offered to prospective engineering students. The tours focus on McGill’s engineering buildings, student services, library resources, and clubs and societies and provide a glimpse of student life in the Faculty.
GRADUATE STUDIES
- McGill’s Faculty of Engineering offers graduate students the opportunity to work with world-calibre researchers and exceptionally talented students in the Departments of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining and Materials Engineering, and the Schools of Architecture and Urban Planning.
