Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers undergraduate degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Honours) and Computer Engineering. All programs provide students with a strong background in mathematics, basic sciences, engineering science, engineering design and complementary studies, in conformity with the requirements of the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).
Computer Engineering Program
The program in Computer Engineering provides students with greater depth and breadth of knowledge in the hardware and software aspects of computers. Students are exposed to theoretical and practical issues in computer systems design in well-equipped laboratories. Although the pr
ogram is designed to meet the growing demands by industry for engineers with a strong background in modern computer technology, it also provides the underlying depth for graduate studies in all fields of Computer Engineering.
Complementary Courses
In addition to technical complementary courses, students in all three programs take general complementary courses in social sciences, administrative studies and humanities. These courses allow students to develop specific interests in areas such as psychology, economics, management or political science. Click here for a program outline for Computer Engineering
