There are campus-wide, faculty-specific, and living area-specific councils serving first-year students at McGill. 

Undergraduate (All Faculties)

SSMU's First-Year Council (FYC)

FYC is an elected body of the Students' Society of McGill University representing all 6000 first year students, regardless of faculty, U0 or U1 status, or residence.

Inter-Residence Council (IRC)

IRC is an elected body of students living in McGill Residences. It is the central body for the various Hall Councils.

Off-Campus Council

The Off-Campus Council stems from the Off-Campus Fellows (OCF) program, based out of Student Housing and Hospitality (Residences). The Council is a group of students appointed to leadership positions to represent the interests of the off-campus student community. They play a role in the planning and implementation of the OCF program’s events and activities.
