Faculty of Education Constitution

The Faculty’s Constitution was adopted by Faculty at its Assembly on September 30, 2005 and adopted by Senate on November 16, 2005.

Following its adoption, the Faculty has since passed the following amendments as recommended by Senate (see Minutes of Senate Meeting – November 16, 2005):

a) Section 1b, paragraph (i) has been amended to allow for students inclusion at meetings where prizes, scholarships, bursaries and other awards are being discussed. The motion to amend was proposed by Anthony Pare, seconded by Helen Amoriggi and passed at the Faculty Council on December 14, 2005.

b) Section 10 a (viii) – regarding the Faculty’s Standing Committees - a motion to remove the Research Ethics Board from the Faculty’s list of Standing Committees was proposed by Robert Bracewell, seconded by Lynn McAlpine and passed at the Faculty Council on January 25, 2006. The REB is a University constituted committee.
