2017 Faculty of Education Teaching Awards recognize Professors Sinacore, Quintin

 2 people, people smiling, textThis week the Faculty of Education recognizes the teaching excellence of Professors Ada Sinacore and Eve-Marie Quintin, of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology (ECP). 

Professor Ada Sinacore has received the 2017 Faculty of Education Distinguished Teaching Award. This award honours excellence in teaching over a period of years; acknowledges distinguished teaching in all its forms including large lectures, seminars and tutorials, thesis and student teacher supervision; and recognizes commitment to the development of excellence in teaching at McGill and beyond.

Ada SinacoreAssociate Professor with ECP, is Chair of the Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies in the Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies; Program Director of the Diploma in Human Relations and Family Life Education Program; and Director of the Social Justice and Diversity Research Laboratory.

Professor Quintin has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Heather Reisman and Gerald Schwartz Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award was established in 2011 with a gift from Heather Munroe-Blum and Leonard Solomon-Blum, and recognizes outstanding teaching by a professor in the Faculty of Education.

Eve-Marie Quintin, Assistant Professor with ECP, is Director of the Behaviour, Autism, and NeuroDevelopment (BAND) Research Group. Her work focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and fragile X syndrome
