Annual Pow-Wow and Indigenous Awareness Week, September 2015

During the month of September McGill will host the 14th Annual Pow-Wow (September 18) and the 5th annual Indigenous Awareness Week (September 21-25). McGill University’s Indigenous Awareness Week is designed to increase awareness at McGill about Indigenous peoples in Canada. The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, Métis and Inuit.

Alexander McComber (MEd 1996) to receive Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science

Education alumnus Alexander Michael Otsehtokon McComber (MEd 1996) has been selected as recipient of an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science from Queen's University. Alexander McComber "has worked with a number of national diabetes organizations including Health Canada's Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative," wrote Queen's Gazette in their recent announcement.
