Need help with your Canadian Common CV (CCV)? OFFERING presents: CCV week!
Come to room 103 (Education Building), schedule a meeting or email catherine [dot] essar [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Catherine Essar) with your requests from 9 January to 16 January 2013. This event is geared towards all researchers in the Faculty of Education, particularly those who will be submitting grant applications requiring a CCV in the winter semester (e.g. SSHRC Insight Development Grant, CIHR Operating Grant).
Gradually, more Tri-Council (NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR) funding opportunities are starting to require the Canadian Common CV (CCV) as part of the application. In addition, a new version of the CCV was released in the summer of 2012.
What this means for researchers is that:
1) some will be creating a CCV for the first time and
2) some will be migrating from the old CCV to the new one.
Workshop being given by Catherine Essar of OFFERING
The first part of this workshop will be a section-by-section breakdown of the application. I’ll provide guidance on what to include, what not to include and how to present your ideas in view of optimizing your score. I’ll be happy to answer any general or specific questions you may have regarding the preparation of your application. The second part of this workshop will be dedicated to the Canadian Common CV, as this may be the first time for some researchers using the Common CV.
