Dr. Marilyn Fitzpatrick, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology was awarded the 2013 Faculty of Education Distinguished Teaching Award!
Dr. Fitzpatrick is currently the Program Director of ECP's Counselling Psychology Masters and Doctoral programs, and has and continues to supervise many students in this area.

Dr. George Mager, retired professor from the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was recently honored with a Diamond Jubilee Medal. The medal serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.

SIS graduating MLIS student Xenia Kurguzova wins SSHRC prize for visual depiction of corruption research
School of Information Studies graduating MLIS student Xenia Kurguzova has won a SSHRC prize for visual depiction of corruption research.
Dr. Susanne Lajoie, Canada Research Chair and Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology was interviwed by MindShare Learning on YouTube about the newly funded Learning Environments across Disciplines (LEADS) project, which Dr. Lajoie is the Director.
The Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology's Dr. Susanne Lajoie, Professor and Canadian Research Chair, was interviewed in the McGill Reporter for her research on LEADS (Learning Environments across Disciplines) to use technology as a source of enhancing the way students learn.
Dr. Baker and Dr. Choudry were recently awarded SSHRC Connection Grants to fund knowledge mobilization activities, aiming to facilitate the multidirectional flow of knowledge between universities and the community.

SIS graduating PhD student Guillaume Boutard awarded major SSHRC grant for interdisciplinary music research
Guillaume Boutard, graduating PhD student at the School of Information Studies, has been awarded a major Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) grant with co-PI Fabrice Marandola (Schulich School of Music).
Their interdisciplinary research project focuses on "Documentation, Dissemination and Preservation of Compositions with Real-time Electronics".
