Recently reopened to all students in the Faculty of Education, an enclosed area on the Education building’s 1st floor offers state-of-the-art computers for private use without reservation, ideal for those who wish to work efficiently in quiet solitude.
As a result of its transparent glassed walls, the room has already earned the friendly sobriquet “EduQuarium”. Outside of those rare hours posted by the entrance, in which it is earmarked for examinations or class use, the new computer lab is open at all times for public use.

As media reports continue to highlight the heightened employability of teachers with French immersion qualifications, both in Quebec and Canada at large, McGill’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) has responded with innovations to their teacher education programs.
When their son passed away tragically in 2009, Vincent and Sabina Tassone were determined that Adriano’s legacy of generosity would survive. Adriano Tassone excelled as a defensive back and on-field leader with the McGill Redmen football team while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with the Desautels Faculty of Management. Mr. and Mrs. Tassone promptly founded two awards that continue to honour Adriano’s name and the spirit of kindness that characterized his gregarious and charismatic personality.
On October 28th, 2014, First Peoples' House held a celebration to honor the Fall Graduates. It was a Scarf Ceremony followed by a dinner. It was held at the McGill Faculty Club. Jim Howden, the Director, and Tina Schiavone, one of the Student Advisors attended. It is always a special occasion sharing this moment with the graduates, members of their community as well as their partners and families.
