The Student Association of Physical Education and Kinesiology (SAPEK)

Mission Statement

The Student Association of Physical Education and Kinesiology (SAPEK) promotes the academic and social welfare of the students in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (DKPE). Through contact with professors, students, and EdUS members, the representatives of SAPEK work to promote high academic standards, social interaction with students of the entire faculty, and to help foster a unique departmental identity.

Mandate

  • Organize departmental and faculty social events
  • Represent the student body at DKPE and Education Undergraduate Student Society meetings
  • Provide peer advising for academic inquiries
  • Organize events that bring professionals and students together
  • Organize the year end formal
  • Collaborate with other universities to coordinate the annual Kinesiology Games

Goals

  • Provide the students with enjoyable social events
  • Aide the students through the academic tribulations of the university experience
  • Enhance student enjoyment through attainment of a departmental identity

SAPEK Objectives

1. To provide the student body with academic and social opportunities

2. To enrich the identity of the program

3. Serve as a link between the student body and the department
