Description of research/teaching activities
In my current funded research, I am focusing on school-based responses to HIV/AIDS in Southern African contexts, dress, body and identity in teacher education, girls and digital technology, and gender in development contexts (Swaziland, South Africa, Russia). This includes work on youth participation, policy work on sexual violence in and around schools, and the uses of media and popular culture in social change.
