There are approximately 35 teaching assistant positions available in each of the Fall and Winter Terms in the Department of Economics. If you begin your graduate studies at McGill in September and would like to apply for a teaching assistantship, Fall Term positions are posted by April 30 (deadline to apply is end of May), and Winter Term positions are posted by October 15 (deadline to apply is mid-November).

Teaching Assistantship Forms
If you are accepted for a TA position, you must complete the following forms and return them with your signed offer letter by email to ta [dot] economics [at] mcgill [dot] ca (TA Economics), or in person to Leacock 443.
2012 Tax Forms if applicable
You must also complete the TA Workload Form with your assigned Professor by the end of the drop/add period and return it to Leacock 443.

IMPORTANT NOTE: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Important Note: International students must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number to apply for a position as teaching assistant (or other employment on campus). To apply for a Social Insurance Number, you will need to present your Visa/Study Permit and a McGill Employment Contract (printed on McGill letterhead) at your local Service Canada Centre.
