COURSE LECTURER POSITION IN EAST ASIAN STUDIES
The Department of East Asian Studies, McGill University, is pleased to invite applications for a Course Lecturer position to teach two courses, one in Chinese film and the other in Japanese Literary Studies for the fall term, 2013, beginning September 1, 2013, and ending December 31, 2013. Minimum qualifications are an MA in East Asian Studies or equivalent. Applicants should have experience teaching East Asian studies as an instructor at the college level. The courses to be taught are EAST 353 “Approaches to Chinese Cinema,” a lecture course, and EAST 461 “Inventing Modern Japanese Novel,” a seminar course. Both courses are 3 credits. Remuneration will be at $7,200 per 3-credit course. Candidates may apply for one or both courses. Knowledge of French is an asset.
