Howard Gardner Speaks to Full House at Sheraton

Celebrated author and professor in Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Dr. Howard Gardner’s appearance at Montreal’s Sheraton Centre was an unmitigated success. Over two hundred in attendance, largely educators and devotees of Dr. Gardner’s books, were treated to a lecture on the subject of Gardner’s newest, The App Generation.

Open Forums hosted by McGill’s Provost, Professor Anthony C. Masi, for students, faculty and staff on McGill’s financial situation will take place on Monday, October 27 at the following times and locations.

PATH’s First Annual Symposium

The McGill Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH) presented their first annual symposium on Friday, October 3rd at the McGill Faculty Club. Entitled Making Connections, the Centre’s inaugural seminar event gathered prominent researchers from McGill and elsewhere who have an interest in studying the relationship between physical activity and health across a broad spectrum of healthy and diseased states.

Official Launch of Education's LCII Office

The Faculty of Education formally launched the Office of Leadership and International Initiatives (LCII) on September 17, 2014. Mandated to develop partnerships with institutions around the world, LCII implements exchanges for students and professors through its various programs. A cost recovery unit that is based on the model of the former Center for Education Leadership (CEL), LCII’s initiatives already include the Dominican Republic field experience project, the MELS WINGS mentoring research project, and more.
