McGill, Dalhousie to boost agricultural education in Ethiopia

McGill’s Faculty of Education and the Institute of Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies have joined the lead partner, Dalhousie University, to embark on a 6-year, $18 million project to help Ethiopia enhance their colleges’ Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education Training (ATVET) programs. Key to McGill’s involvement in the project will be to foster and support gender equality, diversity and inclusiveness.

Education students ready for trip to Santo Domingo

As part of the distant placement opportunities offered by the Faculty of Education’s Internships and Student Affairs Office in conjunction with LCII, four students in the final year of their teacher certification degrees will head off to Santo Domingo’s Americas Bicultural Academy.

Dr. Talwar's research featured in Men's Health

Dr. Victoria Talwar is Associate Professor with the Faculty of Education's Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University. She is director of the Talwar Research Team for Understanding Children's Behaviour Through Research. She has been working in the area of developmental psychology for over fifteen years with an emphasis on social-cognitive development.

Dr. David Jenkins’ dietary talk draws a crowd

Winner of the coveted Bloomberg Manulife Prize for the Promotion of Active Health, Dr. David Jenkins swept through Toronto and Montreal last week on a whirlwind lecture series that included three presentations and two media interviews over a three-day span. The series of lectures, presented by McGill University’s Faculty of Education, wound up with the flagship event, “A Conversation with Dr. Jenkins: Is It Time to Invest in Your Health?”, Wednesday January 21st at McGill.
