Biography: 

Prof. Singer joined the Desautels Faculty of Management in July2007. His primary research interests lie in the areas of earnings management, regulations, international accounting standards, and corporate governance. Professor Singerhas published in the journal of Accounting Research, journal of Accounting, auditing and Finance, Advances in Accounting, and has presented his research findings at conferences in the US and Canada.His work received a best paper awards at the American Accounting Association Western Regional Meeting conference of the Administrative Sciences.

Prof. Singer received his doctorate in accounting from the University of California, Berkeley, and his master’s degree in business administration from Washington University in Saint Louis, as well as an undergraduate business degree from Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Prior to his doctoral studies he worked for Intel Corporation as a Financial Analyst.

Professor Singer teaches Intermediate Financial Accounting II at the undergraduate level and at the MBA level.
