With a history of nearly 400 years, Montreal is one of the oldest cities in North America. It is probably one of the most cosmopolitan ones, too. Although it is mainly a french-speaking ("Francophone") city, you can find almost all the current modern languages spoken while taking a short walk on her streets. Offering cuisines all around the world, Montreal is also home to many year-round festivals, showcasing its cultural diversity and endless tolerance.
