Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies
At the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurial studies, entrepreneurship is a way of life. The Dobson Centre is a hub for entrepreneurial activity at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management and in the greater Montreal community. The aim of the Dobson Centre is to offer entrepreneurial education and provide resources that support and develop entrepreneurs. You’ll find a host of resources for students and entrepreneurs interested in entrepreneurship and an integrative education in management.
The Dobson Centre was established in 1988 thanks to a generous contribution from the John Dobson Foundation, which has continued to offer financial support to augment the funds derived from the original endowment. The Centre forms an integral part of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University and is responsible for the core courses in the minors and concentrations in entrepreneurship at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. In 2011, over 1000 students attended entrepreneurship courses at McGill, in large part taught by the six faculty lecturers of the Dobson Centre.
