CREATE Program

NSERC CREATE program (Collaborative Research and Training Experience Program) in Healthcare Operations and Information Management (HOIM) – Focus on the Health Sector

A team of eight senior researchers from McGill, British Columbia, Ottawa, Queens, Toronto and Montreal Universities launched a collaborative program to train PhD students in healthcare operations and information management. The CREATE team brings together expertise on healthcare processes, operations research, information systems and telecommunications engineering and enjoys the support of 40+ collaborators from across Canada, each individual representing one (or more) of the stakeholders in the health sector; in particular, health care providers and policy makers. This six-University initiative is headquartered at McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management and funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council (NSERC) through a collaborative research and training experience (CREATE) grant.
