McGill World Platform for Health and Economic Convergence

The McGill World Platform combines the joint power of the best minds and leading organizations in private industry, health and social domains with the most recent developments in genetics, neuroscience, management and computational systems sciences.

Building upon the assets of Canada’s premiere research academic institution, the McGill World Platform for Health and Economic Convergence (MWP) was established in the context of the traditional divide between market, economy and society which has created conditions that present challenges to human health and wellbeing. The MWP is rooted in the conviction that this divide can be bridged and complex issues at the interface of health and economics can be resolved.

The MWP carries out cutting-edge research and innovative knowledge-to-action programs and activities to achieve open innovation, social change and collective action, policy convergence, as well as trans-disciplinary and distributed education and research on issues at the intersection of health and economics.

“You cannot achieve environmental security and human development without addressing the basic issues of health and nutrition.”
