MBA Career Services Support
We want you to get involved! In addition to providing their financial support, friends of McGill contribute countless volunteer hours to the MBA Program each year. Below are just a few of the ways to give back with time, talent and expertise. We would be pleased to help you find the opportunity that's right for you.
Mentor a Student
The MBA Mentoring Program at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University serves, fundamentally, to build a strong and vibrant community of professionals engaged with the Faculty in furthering and supporting careers of its MBA graduates.
With the support of Career Services, the MBA Mentoring Program provides networking opportunities, learning events and dedicated one-on-one mentor relationships. This framework and structure allow many of its students to engage in significant dialogue with mid-high level executives in an effort to lessen the gap between academic learning and favorable shift to the workplace.

Participate in Mock Interviews
Through the Mock Interview Program, you can give the Desautels MBA students valuable feedback on their résumé and interview skills, and help them polish their professional manner for future job interviews. Alumni return to campus each fall to conduct these interviews. The videotaped interviews are used to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.

MBA Recruiting and Admissions Support
The Admissions Office wants your help identifying, attracting, and assessing candidates for the Desautels MBA program. By representing Desautels at recruiting events and/or serving as an interviewer, alumni and friends of the Desautels MBA program provide a personal perspective on the MBA experience as well as information about the institution. Interviewing not only gives the applicant a human connection to our Program but also provides an opportunity to enhance the student's application.
Contact MBA Admissions for more information on any of the options below.
Refer and Encourage MBA Applicants
We are seeking your help in identifying new MBA candidates who are not already considering the Desautels MBA program. Your participation in helping us to promote the Desautels MBA Program is the most powerful marketing tool we have. Referrals are a great source of qualified applicants. You have an implicit understanding of what sorts of individuals have the wherewithal and ability to be successful in the MBA program. Thus, we place a huge value on these referrals and are extremely grateful for each and every one.

Represent the MBA Program at MBA Fairs and Recruiting Events
MBA fairs provide prospective students the opportunity to talk with representatives from various business schools, pick up program materials and get a feel for the culture of each school. Information sessions are hosted at recruiting fairs overseas and throughout North America to give prospective students the opportunity to learn more about the Desautels MBA. As a program representative, you can help us attract top-caliber students by answering questions about your experience and describing the MBA program's culture and community.

Conduct Admissions Interviews
The Desautels MBA program is always looking to accept and enroll the highest quality students. As such, effective with the class entering in September 2007, all qualified MBA candidates will be required to interview for admission into the program. These interviews will be evaluative, and the interview feedback report will be considered in conjunction with many other credentials and recommendations submitted on the applicant's behalf.
As an admissions interviewer, your role will be to conduct evaluative, informative, and positive interviews and to submit review feedback in a timely manner. After the interview, we also ask that you call the admitted students to congratulate them upon their acceptance to the Desautels MBA program and that you make yourself available to answer any immediate questions they may have about McGill and the Faculty.
Note: As the Desautels MBA program is focused on recruiting international (as well as local) students, we are looking for interviewers around the world.
