Drawing on a variety of courses, including Strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship and International Business, this concentration provides students with an integrated perspective on leading business issues.
Emphasizing how firms raise capital and on the optimal allocation of capital for investments, students gain expertise in three sub-fields of finance: banking, corporate finance and investments. Students gain an understanding of the functions related to corporate fund management and investment decision-making.
Once students have completed the Core curriculum, they then begin a series of carefully selected cross-disciplinary courses that prepare them to assume the challenges of today’s business environment. Specifically, students will take ten courses from the areas of Strategy, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Operations Management, Information Systems, and Organizational Behavior during the next 2 years of study. These key courses are taught by the Faculty’s leading professors and provide a balanced coverage of fundamental managerial issues faced in today’s business world.
Laying the Foundations
Integration is achieved through a unique set of core modules. Each module is taught by multiple professors from different disciplines–no other MBA program in the world offers this ground-breaking collaborative approach.
Once students have completed their first year, they have the opportunity to specialize in:
Fully Customized Path
Customized with a Concentration in Global Strategy & Leadership
Customized with a Concentration in Finance
Each concentration is supported by leading executives from around the world, who help shape the curriculum to best reflect current business needs.
During the second year, as part of the curriculum, all students participate in a one week international study trip to one of the world’s leading cities. The trip exposes students to both the practice of international business and the subtler issue of what it takes to really understand a foreign market through hands on experiential learning.
