Biography: 

Julia Scott CPA-CA, CFA, MBA is the Director of the GCPA Program. She joined McGill University in 2000 and teaches Advanced Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis in the B Com program and in the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) program, for students pursuing their CPA designation. She has been teaching for more than 30 years at the university level both at McGill and previously at Bishop’s University.

Julia is the author of numerous textbook supplements; Test banks, Instructor’s Manuals, On-line Learning Centres; for texts in Introductory and Advanced Financial Accounting.

An active member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Julia is a consultant to the Curriculum and Education area in the development of on-line materials for candidate programs and was a grader of CFA exams for many years.

Prior to teaching, Julia worked in Toronto with the Toronto Dominion Bank and obtained her CA (CPA) with Ernst & Young (Clarkson Gordon).
