Jonathan is currently a Portfolio Manager at 360 Global Capital, where he focuses primarily on the energy and utilities industry groups. 360 Global Capital is a global long/short equity fund, which invests across seven specific industries with a deep research-oriented investment process.
Prior to joining 360 Global Capital in November 2007, Jonathan worked as a Portfolio Manager at JP Morgan Securities, Inc. in the Proprietary Equities Group. At JP Morgan, he was responsible for managing a long/short investment portfolio with a primary focus on North American energy and utilities equities. Prior to joining JP Morgan in July 2005, Jonathan worked for Brencourt Advisors, LLC as a Senior Vice President. While at Brencourt, Jonathan served as a Portfolio Manager for an energy and utilities investment portfolio and as a Senior Research Analyst in the Event-Driven Equities Group.
Prior to working in the investment management industry, Jonathan spent 7 years on the sell-side, analyzing multiple sectors within the energy and utilities industry groups. Jonathan was an Executive Director at CIBC World Markets Corp. and served as the Senior Analyst covering alternative energy and technology sector from September 2001 to August 2002. Jonathan joined CIBC initially in March 2000 as a Research Analyst with the Natural Gas & Power Research Group where he focused on electric utilities, independent power producers, energy merchants and diversified gas & power companies.
Prior to joining CIBC World Markets Corp., Jonathan worked for RBC Dominion Securities Inc. for 5 years in both Toronto and Calgary. From June 1998 to November 1999 Jonathan was a Research Analyst covering energy-midstream Income Trusts and Limited Partnerships, and from 1997 to 1998 he worked as a Research Associate with the Oil & Gas Research Team where he focused on Senior Canadian Oil & Gas Producers. Jonathan joined RBC initially as an Associate in the Private Client Group after graduation, and in January 1996 moved to the Equity Research division where he was a Research Associate for the Technical Analysis group.
Jonathan graduated with Great Distinction from McGill University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation in 1999. Jonathan graduated from Forest Hill Collegiate Institute in Toronto, Ontario and his interests include music, technology, traveling and fitness.
