Jean Thibodeau joined Canam Group in 1997 as vice president, information technologies. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales and began his career in information technologies in 1975. Over the years, he has acquired solid experience in varied fields, including natural resources, consulting engineering, aviation, maritime transportation, medical products, fabrication and IT consulting.
Mr. Thibodeau has held management positions for more than 20 years with such companies as Québecair, Eco Informatique and Smith & Nephew. He also has international experience with a firm operating in some thirty countries, having assumed responsibilities related to the management of telecommunications and collaborative applications.
In 2004, Mr. Thibodeau was appointed as president of Technyx, a business unit of Canam Group, which offers the outsourcing of technical resources in the engineering, detailing and specialized programming sectors from its offices in Brasov, Romania, and Kolkata, India. Mr. Thibodeau is a member of RéseauTIQ, a Quebec-based network for senior managers in the field of information technologies.
