Mr. Eamonn B. P. McConnell serves as the Chief Executive Officer, Portfolio Manager, Managing Director, and Member of Advisory Board of Kensington Capital Partners Limited. Mr. McConnell serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager of MANNA Asset Management, Inc. Mr. McConnell served as a Private Equity Manager and Director of Independent Review Inc. He co-founded Gryphus Capital in 2000 and previously served as its Partner.
For over 25 years, Mr. McConnell has been involved in investment banking and the fund management business. He has worked in Canada, the UK and Asia during his career. Mr. McConnell has worked for many large international institutions including Barclays Global Investors, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. In the late nineties through 2002, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, responsible for the pricing, underwriting and risk management of Deutsche Bank’s debt new issue business (Asia and Europe). Mr. McConnell’s areas of activity have ranged from capital markets work in both debt and equity products, the establishment of a mutual fund investment management company and the subsequent launch of several funds, to the establishment of a private equity fund investment management company.
He is a Director of Gryphus Capital (previously EM Partners). Mr. McConnell has acted as the Deputy Chairman of the Alternative Investment Management Association Canada since 2008. He serves as an Independent Member of several IRCs. Mr. McConnell holds SFA Certification and Canadian Securities Certification. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association designation.
Mr. McConnell earned an M.B.A. degree in International Finance from McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1984; a B.A. degree in International Business from the American University Paris, France, in 1980; and a Diplome in International Management Program from Ecoles des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, France in 1984.
