Mr. Creighton founded Cordiant in 1999. As President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management and Investment Committees, he oversees the management of the firm’s private equity and loan funds and has been directly involved with the analysis and approval of over 150 private sector investments in more than 50 emerging countries.
Mr. Creighton has accumulated over 25 years experience in the fields of international capital markets, fund management, financial engineering and securitization. His career has taken him to New York and London where, as Vice President and Director, he developed and managed the international fixed income sales team for BMO Nesbitt Burns. During his 13 years at the helm, offices were opened in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing. Mr. Creighton is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a director AC Water Canada, the Chairman of the Canada/South Africa Chamber, and sits on the Investment Committee for the BCS Foundation. He is a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and he travels extensively.
Mr. Creighton holds a BA Hons. (Agricultural Economics) from the University of Guelph. He guest lectures at McGill University and he is a frequent speaker at conferences and in the media on matters relating to the Emerging Markets.
