Claudio F. Bussandri
Claudio Bussandri, a McGill graduate (BEng, Mech ’69, Hons) and MBA ’76, is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of McKesson Canada, the leading provider of logistics as well as information products and services in the Canadian health care marketplace. Mr. Bussandri took direction of the company in 1995 when revenues were at $2 billion and declining rapidly. In 2006, McKesson Canada revenues are expected to crest $8 billion. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bussandri was President of Lantic Sugar Limited. He has held senior positions at Nabisco Brands Limited of Canada including Vice‐President and General Manager of the Food Service Division, President and General Manager of Coffee Club Companies, Vice‐President, Corporate Distribution, Director of Distribution and Inventory Manager. He began his working career with Gillette of Canada as Manager, Production Planning and Control, later serving as Project Manager and Manager, Operational Planning. Bussandri is a Board member of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), a member of the Executive Committee of the MUHC Foundation, and Chairman of the MUHC HR Sub‐Committee of the Board. He is a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE), past‐Chairman, Board member and member of the Executive Committee of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation and a member of the Council for Services to Children and Adolescents of the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
He is also former Chairman and member of the Board of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM) and of the Food and Consumer Products Manufacturers of Canada (formerly GPMC).
