Terry Kocisko (BCom’87) has been appointed to the audit committee and Board of Directors of Quebec-based mining company Yorbeau Resources. He comes to the job with three decades-plus of experience under his belt, as well as a degree in Accounting and Finance from Desautels. Yorbeau is a gold mining company that operates in Quebec and is currently concentrating on its Rouyn Property, which is 4 km south of Rouyn-Noranda in the Abitibi region.

Business insider has published a list of the cities with the world’s top-50 universities according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Included on the list are Montreal and McGill University, thanks to Montreal’s quality of life, the Underground City, the festivals, the Biodome, the botanical garden and various other niceties.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are out for this year, and McGill maintains its place as number 42 in the world. McGill is one of only three Canadian schools in the top 50 and six in the top 200.
