Event Hall at University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management Named in Honour of Marcel A. Desautels

A newly-opened event space at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management which has already hosted events with global leaders from the fields of management, politics and academics, has been named in honour of one of the School’s leading benefactors.
... The space will be known as Desautels Hall in honour of Dr. Marcel A. Desautels (LLD'07), befitting the school’s most generous donor, who has given an extraordinary $41 million to the Rotman School.

Desautels Students' Concept of Solving Urban Hunger with Diet of Crickets Scores Big Points in Social Entrepreneurship Contest

A world without hunger could mean a world with a lot more crickets, according to a team of MBA students at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management.  

...This year's social issue, personally selected by former President Clinton, is centered on the global food crisis in urban slums, affecting more than one billion people worldwide. Mohammed Ashour, McGill's team captain, said his idea was base solely on the concept of insect consumption.

IMHL Collaborators Win Grand Challenges Canada Grant

Students in McGill University’s International Masters for Health Leadership (IMHL) program -- Drs. Padma Venkat, Caroline Kisia and Ahmad Firas Khalid -- are pleased to announce that a low-cost copper device, which has been proven in the lab to kill deadly water-borne pathogens, will be field-tested in poor urban and rural households in India and Kenya with a $100,000 Grand Challenges Canada (GCC) Phase I Proof-of-Concept Grant as part of the 2013 Global Health Stars.

Global Business Education Awards 2012
